The Women Ministry started on February 25, 1968, under the leadership of Lt. Pangjunglepla.
The first Women Ministry leaders were:
They held their first service on February 29, 1968. Noticing the dedication among the women, the Women Department of the Kohima Ao Baptist Church visited, shared God’s word, presented them with a Bible, and donated Rs. 50. Their generous support motivated the Women Ministry to serve God with even greater love and commitment.
As the years passed, in 2006, ABAM renamed the Women Department to the Women Ministry, and this name has been used since 2015.
Today, the Women Ministry is headed by the Associate Pastor for Women, along with a Secretary, Finance Secretary, 5 Deaconesses, and 7 Stewards.
